Interim Pastor

Rev. Luis Velasquez
Hispanic/Latino Church Planter

Luis came to Wisconsin in July 2019 from Atlanta, Georgia and joined the Wellspring family as a Hispanic/Latino community of faith planter in January 2020. He has a background in Psychology and Family Counseling. Luis loves to try new foods, listen to new music, and is passionate for human rights. He is happily married to Nindik Celeste and is the older brother to two siblings.



Esther Criscuola de Laix

Esther has a Ph.D. in Music History and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Mus. in organ performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. During the day Esther works on the editorial staff of A-R Editions, Inc., in Middleton, where she has worked on a variety of musical editions involving music from the Renaissance through the mid-twentieth century, as well as traditional music from various cultures. Besides music, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with her husband, son, and cat.

Tom Ritter


Ken Sosinski
Music Director

Ken previously served at Wellspring as choir director from 1991 to 1995 and returned in September 2019 after a 24 year hiatus as Director of Worship and Music at St. Bernard Parish on Madison’s east side. Ken has served as past president of the local chapter of Choristers Guild and a previous dean of the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Ken holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary of New York.

Steven Webster

Steven has been Bookkeeper at Wellspring since July 2013. He brings a wealth of experience and is also the Treasurer at Bethany UMC. Believe it or not, he bikes to work year-round!

Amanda Zasada
Office Administrator

Amanda joined the Wellspring family in September 2019. She has a background in nonprofit administration and leads a dual life as a freelance musician. With a heart for connection, she strives to bring deep intention and abundant joy to all her endeavors.
