For Visitors

Are you looking for a place where you’ll feel loved, encouraged, and challenged?  Then Wellspring may be the right place for you! Here, you will find friends for a lifetime. A new church can be intimidating for a first-time guest.  We want to make things easy for you!  Look for our hosts (greeters at the doors welcoming you, ushers handing out bulletins) for any questions you might have. They love to help!

For Visitors: What to Expect

Worship Time

Worship begins at 9:15 AM in the Sanctuary. All ages are welcome. We offer coffee & treats before and after the service. You are welcome to take your coffee into the worship space.

Worship Style

Our Worship services are filled with music, prayer, a biblical message designed to make the Good News relevant in today’s culture. We strive to create an environment where people will want to come to find out about Jesus. The use of music, drama, video and more are all tools we use to help people connect with God.

We have a newly lighted and paved parking lot with ample handicapped spots. Street parking is available. You can also drop off at the front entry way for easy access. The main floor is wheelchair accessible.

What should I wear?

We do not have a dress code. Worshipers wear anything from blue jeans and t-shirts to slacks and golf shirts, to ties – suits – dresses. Please wear whatever you feel is most comfortable in this setting.

At the door, you will be greeted with smiles and handshakes by one of our friendly hosts.  We won’t make you stand up or single you out in worship.  If you have any questions, our hosts, ushers and servers will happily direct you.

What about children?

Infants through high school-aged children are welcome during Worship time. In fact, we welcome babies and small children! They are so important to us that we expect our worship to include squawks, squeals, laughter, crying, running up and down the aisles, crawling under seats (also known as the Praise of Children!). We have activity bags with coloring books, games, books to read and a family friendly environment in our Worship space with tables at the back for whole families to sit at while worshiping.

If you desire “peace and stillness” for meditative contemplation or worship, there are 166 hours each week (give or take) when our church buildings are much, much quieter… please ask! We also have a downstairs nursery available for ages 6 months-3 years old.

What about the offering?

At some point during worship, offering plates will be passed around. This is an opportunity to actively respond to what God has given us by freely giving to support the ministries of Wellspring.  New visitors are not expected to give, but may as they feel led. Electronic giving is also available.

How will I follow along in worship?

A printed program (or bulletin) is handed out to all who attend. The order of worship, prayers, song lyrics, are also is projected on a large screen in the front our worship space. You may follow along in whatever way is most comfortable.

May I participate in communion?

In the United Methodist Church, we understand that it is Jesus who invites us to the Communion Table. All who love God, seek to follow Jesus and hope to live in peace with one another are welcome. The elements consist of bread and grape juice. We offer gluten-free and dietary-sensitive alternatives, as well. If you are unable to come forward for Communion, the pastor will be sure you may receive this Sacrament where you are sitting.
